Lab #2:  Lakeview Construction

In our first assignment we implemented the Lakeside Construction database from Chapter 1 using Microsoft Access.  In Chapter 2 we are introduced to two different diagramming languages for data modeling:  Entity-Relationship Diagrams (ERDs) and International Standards Definition 1X (IDEF1X).  Although the process seems a bit backwards (one usually does the data model BEFORE the database implementation) return to Chapter 1 and draw the Entity-Relationship Diagram for all elements of the Lakeside Construction example.  Be sure to cover all the details present in the database.

Upon completion of the ERD for Lakeside Construction, draw the same diagram using the standards of IDEF1X.  You can hand draw the diagrams or use the drawing features of Microsoft Visio or Powerpoint (or whatever drawing package you wish) to complete the work.
