Kappa Eta Kappa
is a professional engineering fraternity at the Milwaukee School
of Engineering. The only requirement for membership in KHK is
that you are enrolled at MSOE and are not active in any of the
other school fraternities. We are looking for well-rounded,
motivated individuals who are willing to contribute as well as
achieve.
As a national
fraternity, KHK membership assists in making contacts with
professionals outside of Milwaukee, including Madison and the
Minneapolis metropolitan areas. We also have alumni in all areas
of study who provide valuable resources and internships.
Membership in the fraternity not only gains you the
opportunity to advance academically and professionally, but
also a chance to enjoy varied social experiences.

Kappa Projects
| Basement Ceiling During the 2003-2004 school year the
basement ceiling of the Kappa House was sheet rocked, finished
and painted. This was a big job that required over 20
sheets of sheet rock, over 10 gallons of joint mud, over 5
gallons of snow drop white paint.
 |
| Living room paint and bar refinishing Prior to a formal
cocktail party in the spring of 2006 the entire living room was
repainted in snow drop white and the trim was painted in the
fraternity color of purple. The original design of the
living room bar was modified and completed with the addition of
a tap tree and sink for better utilization of the bar. The
top and side rails of the bar were refinished and clear coated
with over 8 coats of clear coat. The living room was
redecorated with the fraternity banner and flag and the plaques
won by KHK over the years at Homecoming and Saint Patrick's day
events were displayed prominently.

| Fire Extinguishers Through the 05-06 and 06-07 school
years as money would allow I began to order and install fire
extinguisher boxes in the Fraternity house. These boxes
would allow the fire extinguishers to remain secure from misuse
and to be in the same location when ever they are needed.
They are also bright red and would make find the fire
extinguisher in a smoky condition much easier. This
addition adds much more consistency to the placement of the fire
extinguishers and creates a situation where the fire safety
equipment is treated with respect and not misused.

| House Guide Document During the 05-06 school year Chris
started gathering and putting into writing all of the house
rules that had previously been unwritten and enforced by the
house manager. Over the summer of 2006 this document was
refined and edited and at the start of the 06-07 school year the
document was ready for approval. It came before the active
members of the fraternity and was approved on September 5, 2006.

This document will allow for more consistent
rules for the fraternity house and will have a very positive
effect on the fraternity. We feel that this will be well
used and very much appreciated by members for years to come.
