Another week has passed me by and like usual I have so much to say and no time to say it. This past week was very eventful with a short trip home for my Grandpa's funeral. I was glad to be home and to see all my relatives but at the same time I was filled with sorrow and grief. I guess that a death will do that to you.

I was able to get a ride home with my cousin and his wife who live in Sun Prairie. I am so thankful that he was able to go an hour out of his way just to give me a ride. We ended up going straight to the wake. Then the next day was the funeral and my cousins and I were the pallbearers. I was a touch time and I know that I am really going to miss my Grandpa. I also know that he is in a better place and I will see him again some day.

In the rest of my life, on Saturday I attended the first Student Leadership Conference here at MSOE. I wasn't sure if it would be worth my time, but I did know that I didn't want to spend all day sitting in my room doing homework. I am really glad that I went because the day was very productive. The speaker they brought in was one of the best I have ever seen. He had a great way of sharing his message so that everyone was involved. He spoke at lunch and then later I went to his session on public speaking. I think that I learned more in that hour than I did in an entire quarter of speech class. I know that I will remember and use what I learned from him while I have already forgotten almost everything that I learned during speech class.

Later that evening, Ross, Erich and I went to Eastbrook college age group. This was a great opportunity to get more free food and to fellowship with other students from Milwaukee . Jan and Lee were nice enough to let us use their house even though they were not there. I had a great time sharing conversation with others as well as singing and praying together.

Today, our mentor group met and went to the Safehouse. I had yet to go there and I enjoyed the experience. It was a great opportunity to talk to the three freshmen in our group. The atmosphere is what made the dinner. The actual food was good but nothing to write home about. If you ever get the chance and want an interesting place to eat I would highly recommend checking it out.

Well, I think now that the magic players have cleared my room it is time for me to get some sleep. I don't have class until 11 but I will probably wake up at 7 to get some work done in the prime of my day. I always use this time on Tuesday mornings to put the final touches on our floor study and to prepare myself for the week to come. With that I say Goodnight.
