Happy New Year’s everyone! ^ ^ I hope you all had a great holiday, and now our present to all of you (should you choose to accept it, lol), is this update!
That’s right, Luna! We finally got enough questions to create the Rainbow Corner Mailbag, Part 2! We’d like to take this opportunity to thank those people who flooded our inboxes (okay, not quite) with their questions!
Yes, thank you so much! Alright, so without further ado… Cue fanfare!
*fanfare* Got it, Luna! Is it okay if I do the first question?
Of course. ^ ^
Our first question, or should I say, questions, read as follows: “Howdy there! I have a few questions! ^_^ 1. In Lunar, why are those special pictures called ‘bromides’? I don't get it... 2. With all the new .hack games, anime, and books coming out (.hack//Another Birth comes out June 13th! ^_^), what are your favorite .hack storylines so far? Also, who are your favorite .hack characters? 3. Now this is the big question! It's been on my mind for a very long time, so I just have to ask! And please, answer honestly... If the moon were made out of spare ribs, would you eat it? That is all. Thank you!” Wow, that’s a long one! O.o Luna, would you like to comment?
^ ^;;; Someone sure spent a lot of time on this. But it’s awesome, because we have more to answer!
Well, I did a little research on the first question about bromides. According to Dictionary.com, “bromide” comes up as:
“bro·mide
1 a. A binary compound of bromine with another element, such as silver.; b. Potassium bromide.
2. a. A commonplace remark or notion; a platitude. See Synonyms at cliché.; b. A tiresome person; a bore.” …Hmm…

Yeah, I’ve looked this up before, and I still have NO idea how they got revealing pictures of pretty girls from potassium. ^ ^;;; But, um, I guess it works.
Right… Anyway, number 2 talks about .hack. Personally, I haven’t seen/read/been exposed to too much .hack, so I don’t pretend to be an expert. Now, Luna on the other hand… ^^
*giggles* Right. ^ ~ By the way, June 13th is my birthday, as most of you probably don’t know, but anyways, .hack is a world that stretches over manga, videogames, an anime series, and now even a novel, so there’s many different storylines of it. They’re all very good in their own ways, but to me the anime, called .hack//SIGN, is the best because it’s very deep and emotional. (I like to call it an anime soap opera, lol).
^^ That’s our Luna; always the Anime expert!
^ ^ Awww, thanks! Hmmm, and favorite characters… Most people think that Tsukasa, the hero of .hack//SIGN, is rather annoying, but he’s my favorite because deep down he’s just a scared person that’s moving from childhood to adulthood, while, um, being trapped in another reality, but still. ^ ^;;; Also, my other favorite is Terajima Ryoko because she’s so sweet and kind! (She even has a halo and wings, just like an angel! ^ ^)
I’ll admit, I’m guilty of thinking that Tsukasa was annoying. ^^;
*sniffles*
Oh, Luna, don’t cry! I’m sorry! He was just so whiny at first… But, he’s getting better- I think, anyway…
Number 3 was this: “Now this is the big question! It's been on my mind for a very long time, so I just have to ask! And please, answer honestly... If the moon were made out of spare ribs, would you eat it?” … Um… ^ ^;;;
I can answer this one, Luna! ^^ I think I’d only eat it if I had some really good BBQ sauce to go with it!
Good answer! I would have to say no, though, since I don’t like BBQ, lol.
And because you’d be eating Lunar, right?
That’s right! Whether the moon is spare ribs, cheese, or any other strange food, we can’t simply eat it! *strikes heroic pose*
… *staring at Luna after her outburst*
^ ^ Now, for our next question.
(I know Luna gets very emotional about Lunar, but that was a lot even for her!)
(Must… protect… Lunar…) The next one reads, “Do you think there will be more fruits basket dvds? Luna I also love Lunar”. Awww! ^ ^ Thank you so much!
Hmm… Well, I’d really, really love it if they decided to continue the Furuba series, but I’d have to say that it’s kind of unlikely that they’ll continue.
SPOILER: IF YOU HAVEN’T SEEN THE LAST EPISODES OF THE FRUITS BASKET ANIME, PLEASE AVERT YOUR EYES UNTIL I GIVE THE OKAY.
I mean, look at the way they ended the series. Tohru’s “power”, if you want to call it that, had worked on Akito, who finally came to accept her and stopped trying to tear her away from the Sohma family. That’s some pretty big closure right there. I’m not entirely sure how they would continue the series after something like that.
END OF SPOILER: PLEASE KEEP READING… IF YOU DARE.
Luna, what do you think?

O.O I think I’m scared of whoever was shouting… But anyways, I think Furuba is probably over too, but there are tons of angry fans out there who may just mob the studio someday, so we’ll see. ^ ^ And until then, we have the awesome manga!
^^ You’re absolutely right, Luna! And, scary voice, you’re scaring Luna!
SORRY. I’LL TRY TO KEEP IT DOWN.
(I don’t even want to know…)
Our final question is this, “What is your favorite game?” … O_o We have to choose just ONE?! I… I can’t do it!
Me neither, Kaden! How about we make it our top three?
Whew! Okay, I can do that! ^^ My choice is easy, then! My top three favorite games of all time, in no particular order, are: Shining Force II, the Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time, and Final Fantasy III (for SNES) or VI (for PS)- they’re the same game, really. All three were my favorite games as a child, and remain that way to this day. ^^
Yay! That’s so cool! Okay, for my favorite… Lunar, which includes both Silver Star Story Complete, and Eternal Blue Complete-
(Boy, who didn’t see that coming?)
And Threads of Fate, also called Dewprism in Japan, and Final Fantasy VII. Good question! ^ ^ And we have our wonderful brothers to thank for introducing us to the magical world of gaming!
Aww, that’s all the questions we have for now… Hey, everyone out there reading this right now! Yeah, you, in front of the computer! Send us more questions, please! We want to make another part as soon as we can!
Yeah, this is so much fun! Have a great year, faithful readers, and Happy Year of the Dog! ^ ^ (Go Shigure!)
*singing* High school girls, high school girls-!
*pushes him out the door* How’d he get in here?? Well, anyway, we have to be going for now, but we’ll be back before you know it with plenty more questions to answer- provided that you e-mail us ASAP! (Check the red writing at the bottom of this page for how to contact either Luna or myself.) Also, look for some special guest stars from various Anime and video games to pop in to chat with us in the future! Until then, keep in mind:

Mailbag Part 1

Welcome to Luna and Kaden's first-ever Rainbow Corner Mailbag! ^^ Let's get started! Our first question is: "okay...here's a question for anyone who wants to answer, and it could be a good conversation starter (that is if anyone cares...but they probably don't...) which RPG battle style do you prefer? there's the free-movement style that gives more control and is more realistic in attack real-time, but less realistic in that one must pause and not waste battle time to refresh or change weapons, like what we see in Legend of Zelda and similar quest games, or there's the more traditional "wait your turn" style seen in games like Final Fantasy where there is less realistic "real time" in battle, but more realistic in the sense that you must waste precious time and leave yourself open in order to refresh. Well? What do you prefer? both have merits, but does one take precedence over the other when you are playing? What if you had a choice in games?" Well, Luna, what do you think?
Free-style fighting definitely helps build hand-eye coordination and reflexes, but I personally prefer turn-based battles. They give you more time to plan things out, and it requires more brain than brawn. And then there's games that are half way in between, such as Tales of Symphonia. But overall, Final Fantasy-like fighting is my favorite.
Hmm… very logical answer. I'm not really sure where I stand on this one, to be honest. I like the excitement of hand-to-hand combat, like in Tales of Symphonia or Zelda, but I also like being about to plan things out, as you said, like in Final Fantasy. But, I guess as long as there's lots of explode-y, cool-looking magic, it doesn't matter to me! ^^
^ ~ Very true, and there has to be prettyful magic too!
*laughs* I knew you'd say that, Luna! Okay, on to the next question! Would you like to read it?
Sure, Kaden! "When are you going to put fruits basket pictures on?" Umm… Well, personally, I don't have much memory-space left on my site for more pictures, but I have a couple under the "About Me" section.
^^ I love your website, Luna!!
*giggles* ^ ^ Thanks, but it's only wonderful because of Lunar!
Anyway, I'm hoping to put some Furuba pictures on my website eventually… ^^; Just don't ask me when. Maybe after I get a few more sections done.
Yay! ^ ^ Furuba is so awesome! Ah-ahem, and now, for our next question!
The final question reads, "What Happen' Um... Write a question... What question's are we supposed to write about. Oh! Yeah! are you going to put Manga on your site?" …Uh… Luna, what do you have to say? ^^;
*singing to herself* La, la, la, pink, rainbows, kitties… Oh! Sorry!
^^ It's okay; I love your singing!
*blushes* Um, so about the question. Do you mean like actually scanning manga and putting it on there? That would be awesome, but it would take sooo much memory.
*shudders* Geez… that would take SUCH a long time to scan and put on my website… Updates take long enough for me as it is! Sheesh! …Sorry, got off on a little tangent there… ^^;
Ha ha, that's okay, Kaden. I hope everyone liked our new mailbag section! We hope to make lots more, so keep sending us your questions, k?
That's all for now, folks! And, remember:
