This is where the OoTC reigns supreme, showing off their skills in art, writing, and history- of the OoTC, that is! Come, take a look around! We promise not to bite (hard, anyway).
This is the first group picture Sikaru drew for the OoT Forum Community,
and below it is the version that Groucho colored.
This is the revised version of the OoT Forum Community picture,
and below that is the version Groucho colored.
This is a poster that Sikaru drew for the OoT Forum Community.
Here is Sikaru's explanation for the poster:
"(All names are from left to right, and panels are also numbered left to right.)
First panel: GZ, Groucho
Second: Mike, Poe [top], Kero [bottom], Sikaru
Third: Kaden, Mike, TK
Fourth: Linko, Sikaru, Facelessman
Fifth: Ydna, vgamer1, GD, Kero,
Last: Kaden, GZ, Groucho [bottom], GD [top]
About the Drawing:
-I basically just threw in everything that represents the OoT community. First panel: off-topicness/talking about whatever we want. The couch is there to "represent" how we can just sit down and talk about whatever. Third panel: the "essence" of the OoT community: the OoT Jeopardy. Fourth panel: this is a forum about a game OoT, and we sometimes talk about it, so I figured I'd make a 'panel' where people are playing a video game. Obviously Linko and Facelessman are not playing OoT since they're both playing it, and that's because we rarely talk about OoT. Fifth panel: the various attacks we've made against the General Chat.
-I messed up on the last panel. I forgot to put glasses on Groucho.
-Does anyone recognize some of the "chibi" poses in there? =P Applauds if you know where I got them from. XP
-I basically put the same people as the second OoT pic, except Poe, and I drew you all the same as I did before. There may have been some modifications on some of the members.
-Once again, there are a lot of errors in the drawings, and some of them I didn't see until I scanned them all, and...well, I was too lazy to fix them. =x
-Yes! I do know that I said I wasn't going to draw another OoT picture for a long time, but I got inspired by a poster that I saw and...well, here it is. Who knows? You might see another OoT pic next summer. XP
-I hope I got the ages right this time."
~Sikaru
*Side note: The 2nd and 6th panels had no real meaning, and were just there as very cute fillers, and to put in more characters.
This is the OoT Family Tree, drawn by GD.
Explanation for the Family Tree:
-Golden Zelda is the oldest member of the OoT Community, so is therefore the Family Elder.
-Vgamer1 is Groucho's haggy mother, for reasons unknown.
-Poe the Great has a musket and a grumpy face.
-Goddess Din has a beer, because as a father, she evidently drinks a lot of beer.
-Groucho is Sikaru's mother. He does not approve of Linko and Sikaru's "marriage".
-Popcorn Stalkids and monkeys are self-explanatory.
-Sikaru is a snail because she is sometimes slow. She is GD and Groucho's daughter.
-Kero is the family pet, who's only friend is pudding.
-Mike is GD and Groucho's grandson, but his parents are unknown.
-Kaden is the crazy next-door-neighbor with a huge pile of trash in front of her house who enjoys spying on her insane neighbors through her binoculars, which Sikaru stole from her.
This is the revised version of the OoT Community Family Tree, also drawn by GD.
Most explanations are self-explanatory, but here are a few that aren't:
-PtG and GZ hate each other because they both want to be the family elders, thus having power over the whole OoT Community Family. (At least, according to GD.)
-Vgamer1, GD, and Groucho's relations to each other and everyone else... Yeah, good luck figuring that one out. (GD only grins creepily to this.)
-Please keep in mind that many people have had their genders switched in the family tree. 'Nough said.
This is Kero-chan's "simpler" version of the OoT Family Tree. How much simpler it is remains to be seen, though.
Notes from Kero-chan on this OoTC Family Tree:
"Purple is female, blue is male. Orange is unidentified."
This is ZC's family tree of "The Mike Side".
No notes are available on this tree, due to my lack of understanding of the Mike Side. My apologies.
This is the OoTC Encyclopedia, edited and compiled by Niroht, with entries by the members of the OoTC.
OoTC Encyclopedia
Announce You're New, Leaving, or Returning to the OoT Community:
Modeled after the "Announce You're New, Leaving, or Returning to the
ZP Forums", it was the first topic of this kind to be created in any
forum outside of General Chat. Like pretty much everything else in the
OoT Forum, it is almost always off-topic. However, it's a nice place
for OoTC members to come together and figure out who's still here, who
has yet to be brought back by the ZP Matrix, and what new (or old)
events are happening in the OoT Forum.
Ask a Dumb Question, Get a Dumb Answer: A super-popular topic that
has since been overshadowed by other topics *ahemOoTJeopardyahem*.
It was entirely random, but somehow on-topic most of the time. The
honor of the dumbest answer was given to this one: "Because Link's
mum is bald.", which, obviously, had nothing to do with the dumb
question that had been asked. Sadly, this once mighty topic has
been buried in the sands of OoTC history as time marches on.
However, its memory lives on.
Fake Topics: See Secret Topics.
Goddess Din: A veteran member of the OoT Community, and the creator of
popcorn stalkids and the OoT Family Tree, among many other things. Is
easily annoyed by various things and so a common thing to do is
intentionally break her "rules". She is to blame for secret topics.
See Also Strongman.
Groucho: Member of the OoTC. Named after the famous comedian,
Groucho Marx, but for unknown reasons. One of the few Swedes in the
OoTC, let alone on ZP. Has developed a recent obession with catgirls.
Overprotective mother of Sikaru, nagging wife of GD. (See GD's family
tree.) A very nice person, and not one to pick fights with others
unless he feels like it.
In All Honesty: The most off-topic real topic in the history of
the OoT forum. A topic about cheap/lazy things the developers did,
the very first reply was Facelessman complaining about his glasses.
This is a good albeit extreme example of how quickly things go off
topic here.
Kaden: an avid member of the OoTC, and the one responsible for having
the idea of the OoTC in the first place. Her claim to fame, though, is
being the creator of OoT Jeopardy, the OoT forum's most popular topic.
Called a hamster by the other members based on cuteness, (No one knows
where they got that idea) and characterized by the
smilie and a good
atittude towards all (unless angered), Kaden will probably be a member
of the OoTC for the rest of her life.
Linko: Member of the OoTC. Famous for the creation of the ZP
Chronicles, the OoTC's own webcomic. Also, Sikaru's Best Friend, a
lover of Metools and Megaman in general, and an all-around funny
member. Hasn't been seen lately; the (confirmed) rumor is that he
lost the new ZP Chronicles comics and is too scared of the wrath of
the OoTC to show his face.
Mike: A longtime member of ZP and the youngest mod. Mike is best known
for his love for Iron Maiden and other Metal bands. Mike leads the Mike
Side, a group of ZPers banded together in their love of Iron Maiden and
support of Mike's posting of lyrics. Mike is also an avid hockey fan and
hates books and just about everything non sport or heavy metal related,
including, paradoxially, video games.
Other identities: Wayne Gretzky, Link2004, Legendary Mike99,
Mike aka Adrian Smith, Powerslave, Mike the Great,
Stranger in a Stange Land
Mike Side: A group of members banding together in support of Mike and
Iron Maiden. This started the whole "Side Trend", spawning many other
sides. The Mike Side claims not to be anti-anything because that's not
very nice, [but is in fact anti-book, anti-video game, anti-lame,
anti-wimpy, and anti-spiff, to name a few]. (Note from Kaden- bracketed text is the opinion of the editor)
Niroht: He used to consider himself a half-member of the OoTC due to
to the fact that people didn't include him in OoTC related things, but,
he posts in the OoT Forum often enough to be elevated to full-member
status. Brutally honest to everyone, he sometimes comes off as sour
and grumpy. However, he has a good heart and sticks to his beliefs
no matter what the circumstances. Famous for creating the OoTC
Encyclopedia, it seems only fitting that this intelligent member
should be remembered for creating an encyclopedia for recording
the history of the OoTC.
Off-Topicness: The lifeblood of the OoT Community. Any topic in the OoT
Forum is likely to get off topic extremely quickly. This is against the
rules of ZP but is ignored by everybody.
OoT: Ocarina of Time, the first Zelda game for the Nintendo 64. It is
a very popular game, gaining new players even now and introducing
people to the Zelda legacy. OoT can also stand for Overly off Topic,
reffering to the off-topicness of the OoT community.
OoTC: Stands for Ocarina of Time Community, and refers to the dedicated
group of individuals who frequent the OoT forum. The list of members
glows with big names from the ZP forums, such as Sikaru, Goddess Din,
Zeldas Cousin, Kero, and a host of others. The full list has yet to be
determined, as people come and go as they please. However, they all
share a few things in common: a love of OoT, a love of off topicness,
and a love of being a part of such an awesome community
OoT Jeopardy: Created by Kaden, it is THE most popular topic in the
OoT forum. Between the constant popcorn wars and endless questioning
of answers, it's no wonder that this topic is well over 300 pages long
and still growing. Initially expected to be a failure, it somehow
survived its early days and exploded with activity not long after its
launch. Based on the original Jeopardy show, but with an OoT twist, a
host must endure a barrage of popcorn while delivering stumping answers
*coughPoetheGreathcough* and awarding Zelda-themed prizes (sometimes).
Popcorn Tektites: Created by Niroht as a counter to GD's popcorn
minion monopoly. They are individually weaker than popcorn stalchildren,
however they have greater numbers and due to their phazon based nature
are able to reform after being destroyed.
Q&A: The OoT Forum's version of an FAQs topic, Q&A topics can be
found in every one of the specific Zelda game forums on ZP. But what
makes the OoT Q&A special is the fact that it hasn't been on topic in
months now. Occassionally, an unsuspecting ZPer will wander in and ask
a question, usually requesting help at a certain point in OoT. The
question is quickly answered, and the off-topicness continues right
where it left off before the interruption. The OoTC members usually
get a laugh from the naive ZPer that walked into whatever off-topic
conversation was going on without realizing what they were interrupting.
Secret Topics: Topics in the OoT Forum which are given an "on-topic"
name so they look like they have to do with the game but in fact start
being unrelated to OoT. These are absolutely unnecessary but are still
made as a tradition. The first secret topic was "Favorite Animal", made
by GD to show the OoT Family Tree
Sikaru: Member of the OoTC. Only admin to be a member, but doesn't
mind and participates in the slight rule-bending that occurs in the
OoT Forum. Called a snail for unmatchable slowness, but still a
very nice person to everyone. Talented at drawing and very
knowledgeable about OoT.
Things You'd Never Hear an OoT Character Say: A formerly popular topic
that has since sunk into oblivion. Some slightly creative members took
a foothold in the OoT Forum with the help of this topic *ahemKadenahem*.
One of the longest-running TYNHAOoTCS "stories" was a story by Kaden,
aptly named "Kaden's Story", which can now be found safely archived
in the Fanfiction forum.
Zeldas cousin: A ZP Veteran, well known for her former obession with
The Arrogant Worms and then discovering Heavy Metal and obsessing over
that instead. There are rumors of her being obsessed with Mike but
this has been proven false by the ZC Administration [Seems to be some error there-ed.]
ZC is also one of ZP's perverts, "secksing it up" with both males and females, much to
the disgust of the editor. ZC apparently hates cheesecake and n00bs.
*This encyclopedia will grow as entries are submitted.
ZC made an OoTC userbar! It is currently being used by some of the OoTC, although some who do not support the fad do not use the userbar. It's still cool, though!
Niroht is currently in the process of making an RPG based on the OoTC. How exciting- being immortalized in a video game! It's like a dream come true! Anyway, here are some screenshots of it. We all look forward for the finished product!
Notes from Niroht on screenshot:
"Top left is the interior of my house, top right is a seeeeeecret.
Bottom left is another house (maybe Kaden's, I dunno), and bottom right is the game over screen."
People in screenshot (top left to bottom right):

This is the third version of the OoTC "family" picture, drawn by Sikaru.
Here are the notes that Sikaru included about the picture:
"From left to right:
Niroht, Hobble, Mike, ZC, Kaden, Kero, vgamer, Goddess Din, Golden Zelda, Puchiko, Groucho, Linko_16, me [Sikaru], zaketo, Ydna, Facelessman, Triforce King."
