The Turd (1969 Ford Custom)

The Duster!

General Information
I bought this car cheap in July 2001. All it really needed was a decent tune-up, new shocks, and tires. I used it throughout college as my primary transportation in the winter and is now pulling duty as my daily driver during the winter. I kind of feel bad ruining a nicer old car by running it in the winter, but it was already starting to rust pretty bad when I purchased it. Thanks to the heavy salt usage around here it is basically rusting away and I am waiting for the day when I'm driving down the road and the passenger-side rear fender just falls off... I mean seriously, is it necessary to put so much salt out that it turns the entire highway white???
Other than regular maintenance, this car really hasn't needed any maintenance done to it and is probably the most dependable car I have ever owned. The engine holds good oil pressure (it does use a little oil), it has never left me walking, starts no matter how cold it is, and it has been used to jump start cars 30 years newer than it! I'm currently trying to decide whether or not I want to go another winter with it or try to find something newer.
