According to the passenger list, my grandfather Jack O'Donnell arrived on the SS Arcadia in New York City May 20, 1909. He had $25.00 and a train ticket to St. Paul, Minnesota. He was joining his older brother Dennis and two older sisters, Hannah and Kate. My grandparents married in June, 1920 in St. Paul, Minnesota. They moved to Milwaukee, Wisconsin where my grandfather worked for the Milwaukee Road Railroad. In 1962, my grandparents moved to San Diego, California where my uncle and his family lived. Both of my grandparents died in 1969. The family data starts with my grandfathers' grandfather Thomas O'Donnell. My cousins Rick Loney and Nora Alyea supplied most of this data. Rick's great-grandmother Hannah was my grandfathers' sister. Nora's grandfather was my grandfathers' brother Dennis. Because of the British laws in effect in Ireland, data about Catholics was not recorded so tracing further back then Thomas may not be possible. The family photographs section has a number of pictures of family members.
