8)      Free time activities:  Reading, ice skating, rollerblading, plastic canvas needlepoint, free festivals in downtown Milwaukee

9)      Person you admire:  I admire my mother for all her strength and wisdom, my father for his dedication, and Ray Evernham, who was a prior crew chief at Hendrick Motorsports

10)  What 3 things would you purchase if you won a million dollars:  2003 Mineral Gray Roush Stage 3 380R Mustang with duel side exhaust, house in North Carolina, tickets to the night event at Bristol Motor Speedway

11)  Something no one else knows about you (until now):  I have a paint chip from off of one of Jeff Gordon’s racecars.

15)  Why you chose your major(s)/minor(s):  I wanted to be involved in stock car racing and Mechanical Engineering was the field to enter to get me there.

16)  Groups and organizations currently involved with:  Society of Automotive Engineers (SAE), InterVarsity Christian Fellowship (IVCF)

17)  Toughest assignment ever received from professors:  Having to do a 20 page thermo lab, a thermo lab quiz, a thermo research project, a thermo homework assignment, and thermo final all in one weeks time.

Career Choices

18)  Career destination and goals:  To become an engineer working for Hendrick Motorsports on the racecar or in automotive research and development (R&D).

19)  Why you applied for this project:  I wanted experience working with a team on a project from start to finish, and I liked the smallness of the group so that there would be more personal involvement.

20)  What you think about this project and how it will benefit your future career needs:  I have enjoyed working on this project.  Everyone on the team is great to work with and a real pleasure to be around.  As for how it will benefit me in a future career, it will help me to understand how an engineering project goes from conception to completion, as well as the value of teamwork.
