Science Experiment

The device we decided to use is the MicroDAQ PHT-251 pressure, temperature and humidity recorder.  This device is a very convenient solution for a variety of reasons.  One, the size, for this type of project size and weight has a big influence on what can go in the payload.  This device is only a few ounces and measures 2”x3”x.5”.  Two, this device requires almost no programming.  You simply program it when to start and how often to take data.  Three, this device can capture over 6,500 readings per channel, which will allow us to take data every few seconds and time stamp every data point.  Finally, the automatic graphing and easy exporting of the graphs to Excel is a very convenient option for data retrieval.
