NEW MARCH 2002
After 3 months with my Ram I discovered that the truck was just too big and too much money.  I loved everything about it but I enjoy money in my pocket more.  This is the newest addition....my new 2002 Dakota Club Cab Sport 4x4.  I purchased this truck at the end of March 2002. I specifically ordered it to my specs with all the options I wanted. It has the new 4.7L Magnum V8 Engine with a manual 5 speed transmission. I added many packages including the Sport Package, Power Group, Convenience Group, Trailer/Tow, etc.  It had pretty much all the options with exceptions to the overhead trip computer (that's a long story in itself) and leather seats.  It has 4 wheel anti-lock breaks, Infiniti Sound System, 6-1/2' bed, skid plates, an electric shift on the fly transfer case, bed liner, and many more options that I'm not going to get into.  I've added some miner things like the window guards, mud-flaps, and my satellite radio.  I will continue to add all the toys and take more pics as soon as I get more time and money :)

MODIFICATIONS THUS FAR:

So far I have not added too much to my new truck.  I have added a few things though.  The biggest problem I found with my new Dakota was the quality of the Infiniti sound system.  The "upgraded" speakers are made of paper and severely underpowered.  Any increase in bass and volume at the same time causes a large amount of distortion.  The stereo was the first to go.  I put in most of my stuff from my previous Dakota including my Pioneer Premier Component Speakers, my 10" DVC Subwoofer and a new Pioneer Premier 740MP Headunit.  I once again had to build some sort of speaker box console in order to fit these things in such a tight area.  Along with these additions, I have also added in my XM Satellite Radio and a 12 Disc Pioneer CD Changer.

The next thing I upgraded was my front corner lights.  I went ahead and put in the European style clear corner lights which really gives a nice sharp look to the front of my truck.  I also tried the GTS Projector Headlight covers.  I was worried about visibility at night but so far I can see pretty good.

I recently added the bug deflector.  I purchased all three pieces but I didn't like the way the side ones attached (or lack of).  The design was absolute crap.  They are supposed to hold on under the rubber molding of the light on one side and they just dangle on the other. I wasn't too happy with how they looked anyway so I took them back off.  The one center one is fine for me.

IN THE NEAR FUTURE (HOPEFULLY):

  • RAM Air Hood

  • Altezza Rear Lights

  • Brush Guard

  • Side Steps

  • Bed Cover

  • Throttle Body / Air Filter

  • Headers / Exhaust

    (Not in this particular order)

his was....my new BUS!  I purchased this truck at the end of Nov 2001 after I graduated.  Its a 2002 Ram 1500 SLT with just about every option including Sport Package and Leather seats.  It has a 5.9L V8 engine with Dodges new 4 speed automatic transmission.  The has an extended cab with an 8 foot bed bringing the total length to just under 22 feet.  It has every option except for side airbags, including an electric on the fly transfer case, skid plates, and a bed liner.   I have added a few things in the past month including side nerf bars, window deflectors, and mud flaps.  I have kept the stock radio for the time being but I added the new XM Satellite Radio and soon a new disc changer.  I recently changed my air intake to a K&N Cone Air Filter Charger.

SOLD MARCH 2002

his is my almighty Dodge Dakota.  I bought this truck at the end of the summer in 98' from a dealer in New Jersey , who got it as a trade in .  Its a 1993 Dodge Dakota 318 V8 4X4.   This truck originally had a V6 in until the guy who had it before me decided to replace it with a V8.  If anyone has any idea who owned this fine truck before me, please email me at the address below.  I would really like to find out some more information on the truck.

I've recently had this engine rebuilt replacing every part possible inside the block including cam shaft, rocker arms, pistons, etc.   I expect to get some great performance out of it.  In these pictures you can see that I have a K&N air filter on top of and Edelbrock carburetor as well as an Edelbrock intake.  When the engine was rebuilt,  a deep high performance camshaft was put in for more power.

The last few pictures are of a few of the things that I have modified on my truck. The stereo is a 40X4 Watt Panasonic Removable Faceplate Stereo with rear and front subwoofer outputs. The gray thing in the middle is a console that Jack and I built to accommodate a 10" Pioneer Dual Voice Coil Subwoofer.  We figured out that this would be the easiest way to fit it inside the tight area.  Behind my CB radio, is a metal panel that my friend Chris made for me to keep all my switches, which control such things as the amplifier, fog lights, air horn, etc...  The wooden box in the back was a design that Pat and I came up with.  It holds my Pioneer Premier 2 Channel  450 X 2   Watt amplifier.  It serves as a way for me to carry my amp to my room when I don't want to leave it in my truck.  The hole in front is for easy access to the wires.  In the lower corner of the truck is a green plug with some RCA wires.  I've run the wires for the amp into an ordinary house electrical outlet and hooked up a plug on the amp end.  The RCA wires are also run into a plate to make everything neat and easy.  The wooden box on the dash board is a cup holder that Pat and I built to accommodate the "Biggie Size" cups from Wendy's and other take out places.  I have also put a bra, bug deflectors, and rain guards on the windows.   I have a Lund set of wings on the back side of the cab with off-roading lights on it as well as a tonneau cover to complete the truck.
