The MSEM at MSOEThe Masters of Science in Engineering Management (MSEM) is a master's degree in general management program for people with a technical orientation. It emphasizes marketing, operations, quality, project management, and organizational management. The MSEM is as strong rigorous as a traditional MBA, but is oriented to people working on the cusp of technology and management.
The MSEM Solution Student-centric : The program focuses on the needs of each student as well as their employers. It reflects the diversity of the students, the staff, the geographic region, and the global corporate environment. Students are encouraged to share best practices and general observations from their work experiences. Experienced Faculty : Courses are taught by industry professionals who currently work in their respective fields. They share a real-world application of the theoretical concepts being presented. Technology Management Focused : The MSEM is designed for professionals who find themselves at the intersection of management and technology. All courses reinforce this focus. With an MSEM, students can aspire to a position in engineering management, a peer to engineering managers, or the general manager of an engineering or technology based enterprise. Degree Features Designed for Working Professionals: Classes meet one night a week in the evening to accommodate students who work full-time. The MSEM also offers an option that integrates courses into suites: The MSEM can be completed in just 18 months. The student need only attend one evening per week and every other Saturday. Technology-Mediated Instruction : The MSEM leverages technologies that help students receive instruction through the World Wide Web. Location, Location, Location : Select MSEM courses are offered in the Fox Valley, Racine/Kenosha, and Waukesha/Brookfield. Accredited University : Milwaukee School of Engineering is accredited by the North Central Association of Colleges and Universities.
Rader School of Business, Milwaukee School of EngineeringThe Rader School of business is only one piece of a vital and growing University that reflects a heritage of excellence in both its alumni and the respect of the business community. Programs for undergraduates, graduate students, and continuing education are available. For example, it's possible to take six sigma courses for graduate credit through the Business Excellence Consortium (BEC). The MSEM program supports The MSOE mission by producing graduates who possess broad business management knowledge and skills that prepare them to move into general management positions in a wide range of industries.
