Henry L. Welch is a Professor in the Electrical
Engineering and Computer Science Department at the Milwaukee
School of Engineering. His interests include fuzzy logic, digital logic,
computer hardware, microprocessor systems, computer graphics and robotics.
In addition to his normal duties Dr. Welch is a curriculum advisor
for the Computer Engineering
and Software Engineering programs.
He has a bachelor's degree in electrical engineering (1985) from Virginia Tech and a M.Eng. (1986) and Ph.D. (1990) in computer and systems engineering from Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute. He has a few years of industrial experience from a number of small consulting engineering firms and currently is a technical expert for Teltech a knowledge service. He joined the faculty at MSOE in 1990. Dr. Welch is a registered professional engineer in the State of Wisconsin, a senior member of the Institute of Electrical and Electronics Engineers, and a member of the American Society for Engineering Education and is currently serving as the Chair of the ASEE Software Engineering Constituent Committee. He is also a member of Tau Beta Pi |
